Coffee bay Building, surfing and youth development project
Do you want to join our vision in showing Love to many people in need? if so, Then this is the perfect project for you.
“Assist us with building our Coffee bay Missions Camp followed by surfing beach time in the afternoons”.
This is the perfect opportunity to see Africa and work with the rural African people in a safe rural environment.
We have a great need for Teams and individuals to come and assist us in Building up our missions camp coffee bay. At our missions camp we welcome individuals and teams from all over the world to come and impact the local Xhosa people in Coffee bay. Our aim is to show the people in the area LOVE and to come alongside the lost and the broken bringing them into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. We are calling anyone with a heart to build within the community to come and help out. We have a heart for the local people of coffee bay, to show them Love and to invest time into their lives. Our main current focus is Building on the Missions camp daily Monday to Friday until 3pm daily (with a tea break of 15 minutes and a 30 minute lunch break) Followed by enjoying time on beach with the youth of coffee bay from 3pm-5:30pm. We start off by doing home work with the children after school followed by their reward being to go surfing or play soccer on the beach.
Our beach time is a great time to share the love of the Lord with the youth one on one and to enjoy swimming and surfing in the ocean. We also have soccer equipment we use to play soccer or ball games on the beach.
The Leaders at the Local Coffee bay school say: "We see a great need amongst our youth to keep them occupied in the afternoons and away from substance abuse. Volunteer in South Africa is a huge blessing to our Youth and children of Coffee bay. The children that we work with come from very poor backgrounds. There-fore we are grateful to have volunteer in south Africa show them the Love of Christ and to walk alongside them bringing them into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Thank you for your willingness to come and build up the missions camp coffee bay and impact the youth of Coffee bay. We have a huge need for this help in the area."
Our Surf school is aimed to keep children away from substance abuse after school hours and instead bring them into a transforming relationship with Jesus Christ. Many of the children are left alone to care for themselves after school hours so we have a great need for leaders to come and impact their lives. Some of the children and youth we work with are orphaned and others are from very underprivileged back grounds. They have a great need to feel loved and connected with the Holy spirit.
The children really need 1 on 1 interaction and time, so we are assisting them with their home work, and then we have 1 on 1 surfing time and fun on the beach.
When Joining us, we encourage you to bring your God given talents, and share this with the children in need. (Please discuss your talents with the leaders on arrival) so they can organize for you to help in the areas of your talents.
These are our current focused projects in the area.
